Interesting Fact:

Born and raised in Berkshire with family roots hailing from Manchester, Cecil takes her name along with a heavy amount of inspiration from her pioneering broadcasting producer Great Uncle, CBE Cecil McGivern. He wrote several radio plays for BBC Radio during World War II, was responsible for broadcasting the Queen’s Coronation in 1953 and is also responsible for the screenplay for the original 1946 version of Charles Dickens famous novel “Great Expectations” for which he was nominated an Oscar. He was also responsible for giving Sir David Attenborough his first break in television.
